Wood & Water was started in 2024 by husband and wife team Cecil and Jolene Sloley. What began as a small t-shirt brand has grown into something much bigger-a way to celebrate the Caribbean through clothing that’s real, rooted and full of life!
Inspired by the colors, rhythms, and natural beauty of the islands, Wood & Water is about more than just fashion. It’s about where we come from, what we love, and how we carry that with us everyday. Every design is made to reflect the spirit of the Caribbean-bold, bright, and full of pride!
We didn’t see many brands that truly represented the Caribbean the way we know it. Some pull bits and pieces for style, but not many are rooted in the real culture, people, and stories of the region. Each island has its own unique identity, but together we share something strong—and we wanted to show that.
What Inspired Us
Looking around, we saw a gap. There were brands inspired by island life, but nothing that felt truly connected to our culture and our roots. We love the colors, the trees, the flowers, the waters, the people—so we built a brand that reflects all of that.

This brand is personal. It comes from our own love for the Caribbean and the pride we feel in where we’re from. The patterns, the colors, the vibes—it all tells a story that feels like home.

Right now, we offer Caribbean-inspired casual wear—simple, stylish pieces that carry that island feel. Our goal is to grow into a full lifestyle brand, with different styles and price points so everyone can find something that speaks to them.
